NCCL Board of Directors Approves Dues Increase
It has been seven (7) years since NCCL increased its annual membership dues. Effective January 1, 2009, individual membership dues will increase $10 to an annual membership fee of $60.00. Institutional and publisher fees will increase in a similar fashion.
To gain some perspective, let’s compare the cost of things in 2002, the last time NCCL dues increased. A loaf of bread was less than a dollar, a half gallon of milk was just over a dollar and a gallon of gas was $1.51. A first class postage stamp was $0.34 and a ream of paper (500 sheets) was around $2.00.
In comparing our $60.00 individual dues with some of our partner organizations, NCCL is still a bargain at these new membership fees.
