The National Conference of Catechetical Leadership was awarded grant monies from the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary to fund a new project in assisting Catechetical Leaders in their efforts to better serve and catechize persons with disabilities. NCCL is collaborating with staff from the National Catholic Partnership on Disability with input from the National Apostolate for Inclusion Ministry and the National Catholic Office for the Deaf, among others.

One issue which emerged in our conversations was the lack of a central place to share information. There are wonderful things happening, but others may never learn about them. This is an area where NCCL can lend assistance. In the future the BVM grant money will be used for webcasts and other forms of electronic communication for those who minister with persons with disabilities.
